7,62 mm M84 machine gun is designed to eliminate enemy manpower and damage fire weapons. The M84 machine gun produced by "Zastava Arms" of the Republic of Serbia is an analogue of the PKM Kalashnikov machine gun of 7,62 mm. 7.62 mm M84 machine gun was fired with a bipod.
The machine gun is mounted on various types of optical sights (day and night) located on the left wall of the barrel.
The machine gun uses 7,62x54 mm ordinary (LPS), tracer (T-46М), armour-piercing (B32) and piercing(PЗ) bullet cartridges for firing.
Firing is carried out by short (up to 10 shots), long (up to 30 shots) bursts, and continuous firing.
During firing, the cartridges are transmitted to the receiver of the machine gun through a stee belt assembled in a cartridge box with a capacity of 100, 200 and 250 cartridges.
The most effective firing from the machine gun to ground and air targets is carried out at a distance of up to 1000 m . Operational range 1500 m.
